Last week, we at Blitzscaling Ventures hosted the inaugural AI Agent Congress in Silicon Valley, gathering 31 leading AI agent founders from across the globe. Read the full post and see the photos. This event marked an important step in our mission to lead the AI agent ecosystem—not as passive investors, but as active community builders and catalysts for growth.AI agents—autonomous applications that complete tasks on behalf of humans—will grow at lightning-fast speed, self-tasking, completing tasks, and even self-replicating.
Since identifying the AI agent market in 2023, we have been committed to nurturing this burgeoning space. We’ve already made three investments in this agent ecosystem (MultiOn, CrewAI and Skyfire), recognizing it as the next major wave in technology. Hosting the AI Agent Congress was part of our strategy to foster deep collaboration and shared learning within the industry. It wasn’t just about bringing people together—it was about convening the brightest minds, sharing ideas, and laying the groundwork for what comes next.
The event featured a mix of structured and unstructured formats, starting with formal industry presentations, followed by moderated group discussions on key topics like agent topology, standards, and the dynamics between tech giants and startups. We ended with an unconference, allowing founders to choose the topics they were most passionate about and organically generate deep insights. This mix created an unparalleled environment for connection and meaningful dialogue.
General Partners Chris Yeh and Jeremiah Owyang enjoyed meeting these top founders, learning alongside them, and connecting with those who introduced and invited fellow founders in the AI agent space.
This AI Agent Congress is just the beginning. We plan to expand this event series, adding it to our growing portfolio of community-driven initiatives, alongside AI Salon, our international event series in 35 cities, and Llama Lounge, our large gathering based in San Francisco. We are here not just to invest in the next wave, but to lead it, cultivate it, and guide the startups that will scale lightning fast. We are grateful to our friend Rob Castaneda of ServiceRocket for hosting us as his amazing Palo Alto office.
