We’ve invested in Ando, an AI platform for hourly workers and employers

Hourly labor is one of the largest systems in the economy, yet it is still managed with spreadsheets, guesswork, and outdated dumb scheduling tools.

Ando has built an AI platform that organizes supply and demand for hourly work. The goal is simple. Help workers maximize employment and income stability while helping employers fill shifts and forecast labor needs accurately.

Most workforce software produces static schedules. Ando uses AI to forecast demand and dynamically match workers to shifts based on skills, availability, preferences, reliability, and performance.

Scheduling is just the surface. Underneath is a continuously learning system that improves as more shifts run through the platform. Each completed shift strengthens forecasting, matching, and labor liquidity across employers and locations.

Ando also offers a viral feature called Ando Passport, which each worker can use to help them quickly traverse a variety of employers, smoothing employment onboarding and shifting schedules.

Ando is a Blitzscaling thesis fit: virality from a single passport that workers will share and spread, and uber-like network effects from a marketplaces of workers and employers, all on one platform with AI forecasting demand.

Founder Paul Wellons (linkedin) brings firsthand operator experience managing frontline labor and the operational complexity that comes with it. The team has focused on real world deployment from the start, building early density in select markets and proving the system in live environments.

We are excited to partner with the Ando team as they build the intelligence layer for hourly labor, read the full press release.
